Homegrown Texas Manufacturer expands to Upstate sending 150 new jobs to Abbeville County

ACS Manufacturing announced plans to locate new manufacturing operations in Abbeville County. The company’s $6 million investment is projected to create more than 150 new jobs over the next five years.
Dan Knox, ACS Manufacturing President, said the company is excited about its expansion to the Abbeville, S.C. area and working with the local and state agencies to get the facility operational as soon as possible.
“We have big plans to grow this location quickly and will be adding many new jobs to the area,” he said.
Since 1995, ACS Manufacturing has delivered a broad range of solutions for sound and environmental issues, from acoustical equipment enclosures and fuel tanks to turbine systems and skids. The company has an extensive history of supporting industry leaders in the oil and gas, data center, power generation and wastewater treatment markets.
Bryan McClain, Abbeville County Council Chairman, pinpointed the incumbent staff as one of the Texas manufacturer’s reasons for choosing the Upstate.
“We believe it speaks to the quality of our workforce, and County Council is especially grateful ACS Manufacturing has chosen our community for their financial investment and creation of these quality jobs,” he said.
Located at 1439 Cambridge Street Extension in Abbeville, S.C., ACS Manufacturing’s 141,000-square-foot facility is projected to come online in the third quarter of 2018.
