South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (SCMEP) partners with Life Cycle Engineering to Offer Engineering eLearning to SC Manufacturers

Manufacturing organizations in South Carolina face a common challenge: the need for skilled workers who can support rapidly advancing technologies and expectations. Manufacturers need to plan for both upskilling (improving current skill sets) and reskilling (focusing on learning new skills).

To help manufacturers develop a skilled workforce, SCMEP and Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) have partnered to make the Life Cycle Institute’s eLearning courses easily accessible to South Carolina’s manufacturers.

Via its online training platform SCMEP offers on-demand and virtual instructor-led courses as well as customized training packages. Its library of on-demand courses now includes five courses developed by the Life Cycle Institute’s engineering subject-matter experts and learning professionals:

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (eMPS)

MRO Storeroom Management (eMRO)

Reliability Centered Maintenance (eRCM)

Root Cause Analysis (eRCM)

Reliability Engineering Excellence (eREE)

“LCE is headquartered in SC, and we are proud to support SCMEP in providing innovative strategies and solutions to South Carolina businesses,” said Bob Fei, President and CEO of Life Cycle Engineering. “We know that our online training courses offer a flexible and highly effective way for manufacturing employees to boost their skillsets and create added value for their companies. And we hope that making them easily accessible through SCMEP will prompt more employees to use these courses for professional development.”

“SCMEP is passionate about helping SC manufacturers succeed and workforce development is a huge part of that,” said Andy Carr, President and CEO of SCMEP. “We are excited to partner with Life Cycle Engineering to make the Life Cycle Institute’s excellent online training courses part of the web-based training resources available to our state’s manufacturers.”
